Milbemax dosage

Dosage

Treatment frequency of dogs should follow the European Scientific Counsel for Companion Animal Parasites (ESCCAP) guidelines * .

Oral Milbemax is available in two strengths and two formulations:

  • Milbemax for dogs: a tablet containing 12.5 mg milbemycin oxime and 125 mg praziquantel.
  • Milbemax for small dogs and puppies: a tablet containing 2.5 mg milbemycin oxime and 25 mg praziquantel
  • Milbemax for dogs is now available in oral tablets and chewable tablets which make worming more of a treat

Milbemax tablets should be given orally with or after food to dogs at the minimal dose rate of 0.5 mg of milbemycin oxime and 5 mg of praziquantel per kg of body weight, according to the following table:
